PPH Job of Week – Charity Site

This weeks job of the week is for a charity site . The buyer is after someone who can from scratch create a dating website for free.

They say that they would like it for free as its for an existing charity but won’t name the charity but they are looking to setup an individual business . When pressed they are saying perhaps they could stretch to £100 but as they don’t know whether the task is an afternoon or a few weeks they are not sure if the going rate is £20 or £1000.

Strangely they have offers but as yet not award the job.

PPH Job of the week

As seen on People Per Hour 18/8/2014

Budget £not stated– scrape every single website in the uk and get their telephone number

How the devil is this job actually possible? How can the seller prove they have every restaurant; surely the buyer has no way of checking each entry.
As it stands I am sure on a daily basis new restaurants open and others close; telephone number changes.

PPH – Job of Week Followup

Following on from PPH previous job of week where the buyer was after someone to document ‘everything’ that can be done in asp.net mvc and c# the same buyer now wants for the grand budget of £100 someone to document a training guide to using visual studio that will show how to build from scratch a full ecommerce solution using c# luckily they know css and javascript so they do not need to know that.

Interestingly there have been three proposals already.

It looks like the previous job to document everything that can be done in asp.net and c# has not been awarded even with a budget of £250 so perhaps the incentive of rather than writing a book but writing a book and full website example for £100 will be more awardable.

where do these people come from!

the end of the world facebook is down

how many people when accessing facebook this evening suddenly thought their internet had gone wrong when receiving a server not found notification.

twitter became alive with the rumors that turned out to be true, life ground to a halt as people no longer knew how to run their lives, i bet the lights suddenly brightened due to less power required.

this evening only a few hours after gmail went offline for a time, Facebook did the same coincidence ? will we ever find out why! the 99.99% sla has not been met
