so the honeymoons are over and the couples arrive back in London to live together for a month before deciding whether to stay together or go their separate ways

 

Clark and Melissa

The youngest couple. Interestingly Melissa after the experiment ends has a job in Northamptonshire so Clark will have to decide whether to stay in London or also leave. Could be a deal breaker as it would be a big step to give up everything but if not then they will be apart for a long period of the week or he would commute. For the first time he admits to his best man he is having doubts and in different circumstances would have as he put it jumped ship

As expected they decided on decision day to stay married.

 

 

Adam and Sara

The most compatible couple according to the experts. Adam admits they have differences but the positives outweigh the negatives he is very laid back to Sara’s cautious approach

They seem to struggle to get on he seems quire aloof with her I think he wants out but won’t do it

Its quite strange really as the program flashes to them on a train holding hands.

Towards the end of the experiment they head to Ibiza. Seems like they are maybe escaping reality and not deciding things at the end in a real world scenario.

On decision day they sit in front of two of the expects and are actually holding hands. Incredibly they have decided to stay together which for the viewer was probably que unexpected

 

Adam and Caroline

Initial impressions are they were very into each other when they moved into the rented flat they would share for the 4 weeks. Not much has been said of whether Adam would move from his home in Bournemouth if they stay together and he does own his property there. He takes her to visit. She does seem a little shocked about his property being full of super hero memorabilia esp. the bedspread. Caroline is intent on staying in London. She is very strong willed and I suspect she expects that she will get her way.

They have issues with where to live as she is keen on staying in London he could change his job to Reading but due to shifts he could still not live in London, she would need to compromise and perhaps live in Reading ad commute in. He does come across as devastated that he is letting her down as he so wants it to work.

On decision day they cuddle up in front of the experts as they make their decision. Even though logistics are an issue they have decided to stay together as was expected

 

 

 

 

Steve and Lucie

Both had never lived with anyone before they will share a place in East London. Steve has not managed to stop smoking as he promised.

Poor Steve got the Spanish inquisition from Lucie’s father on a weekend visiting him he seems quite timid as it is.

Steve comes across as very indecisive Lucie is more into him than him into her though he might just be doubtful

On decision day even the experts were unsure of what their decision would be. Lucie obviously wants to stay together she admits they are different in front of the experts but have decided to stay married though they will live apart.

 

The next catchup is a couple of weeks later.

Adam and Caroline are living apart as Adam has not got a work transfer as yet

Sara moved into Adam’s accommodation

Lark and Melissa have moved to Milton Keynes

Lucie and Steve split he explained Lucie felt they were friends

 

After five months

Steve and Lucie are friends

Adam and Sara split after a month

Clark and Melissa have decided to live apart and see what happens it does not seem hopeful

Caroline and Adam have stayed together and are living in London

So as per the first series the experiment has not really worked though Caroline and Adam do appear to have a chance and have worked through their difficulties. At the end of the program Channel 4 mentioned applying for the next series.

None of the experts commented at the end of the program re the outcome of the 3 couples who have split.
